APT is a registered charity that encourages participation in the visual arts through creative practice, exhibitions and education

Located in South East London, APT supports an exceptional resource and facility for artists and the wider community.

With the provision of secure studios and high quality exhibition space as a cornerstone, APT aims to foster an environment where creativity may flourish, forging links and collaborations with other professional bodies both locally, nationally and internationally.

Since its inception in 2005, the Creekside OPEN has become one of London's foremost open competitions for visual artists.

Eileen Cooper RA and David Tremlett selected the first Creekside OPEN in 2005. The format was expanded in 2007 when we staged two exhibitions, selected by different selectors from the same submission. This allowed each work two chances to be selected and Matthew Collings & Emma Biggs selected the first show and Victoria Miro selected the second exhibition.

The Creekside OPEN 2009 followed the same format and Jenni Lomax and Mark Wallinger selected two completely freestanding exhibitions from over 2000 submitted images.
